Having Trouble Opening the macOS App?

⚠️ By executing the commands below or opening these apps, you acknowledge that you trust MecoDrive and MecoDriveStreamingUploader as safe software from a trusted source.

If you see the message: "MecoDrive / MecoDriveStreamingUploader is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.," don’t worry! Just follow these steps to open the app:

Download the .dmg file for either MecoDrive or MecoDriveStreamingUploader from the link above.
Open the downloaded .dmg file by double-clicking it. This will mount the installer and display the application.
Drag the desired application (MecoDrive or MecoDriveStreamingUploader) into your Applications folder.
Open the Terminal application on your Mac.

For MecoDrive, run the following commands:

sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/MecoDrive.app"
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - "/Applications/MecoDrive.app"

For MecoDriveStreamingUploader, run the following commands:

sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/MecoDriveStreamingUploader.app"
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - "/Applications/MecoDriveStreamingUploader.app"

After completing these steps, you can open MecoDrive or MecoDriveStreamingUploader directly from your Applications folder without warning messages.

If you see the message: "MecoDrive / MecoDriveStreamingUploader can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software," don’t worry! Just follow these steps to open the app:

Download the .dmg file for either MecoDrive or MecoDriveStreamingUploader from the link above.
Open the downloaded .dmg file by double-clicking it. This will mount the installer and display the application file.
Drag the desired application (MecoDrive or MecoDriveStreamingUploader) into your Applications folder.
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Allow applications downloaded from → App Store and identified developers if prompted.
Look for the "Open Anyway" button under the blocked app message if macOS flags the app.
Locate the MecoDrive or MecoDriveStreamingUploader application in your Applications folder.
Right-click (or Control-click) the MecoDrive or MecoDriveStreamingUploader application.
Select Open from the context menu.
A macOS security warning dialog will appear. Click Open again to confirm and launch the app.

The app will now launch. You only need to perform these steps the first time!
